After obtaining an Associates Degree from Dixie College, Jodi traded in her sun tan for wind burn when she transferred to Utah State University. While there she became a member of the Kappa Delta Sorority and graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Communications, emphasis in Public Relations, in 2000.
She began working for Mountain America that same year as a Marketing/Public Relations Specialist. Her position evolved through the years and her focused eventually shifted to public relations exclusively. Her responsibilities include media relations, community events and the credit union’s youth financial literacy initiative.
Jodi has served on the board of directors for the Utah Jump$tart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy since 2001 and served as chair of the board in 2004 and 2007. She travels the state giving financial literacy presentations to students across Utah.
In 2005 she was invited to Washington D.C. to share her input on the Department of Treasury’s Financial Literacy and Education Commission’s national strategy on financial literacy.
Jodi sits on the Paul R. Ball and UPEA scholarship judging committees, is a graduate of the Credit Union National Association’s Marketing School, is a member of the Utah Saves public relations committee, a member of the PRSA Utah Chapter and is currently working toward her APR (Accreditation in Public Relations).

Clare has over 20 years of experience in Credit Unions and Banking in leadership and management roles, with expertise in the areas of Public Relations, Human Resources, Compliance, Lending and Operations. Clare oversees Media Relations at Mountain America Credit Union. Clare began her career in banking with First Security Bank and later moved to Equifax Card Services.
In 1997, she moved into the realm of Credit Unions and has never looked back. She embraces the Credit Union philosophy of ‘People Helping People’ and believes that Credit Unions are truly democracy in action, with each member having one member vote.
Clare was born in Scotland, and is a naturalized citizen of the United States, having lived in the U.S. most of her life.
Clare is actively involved in local politics and the community in roles of leadership.
She is currently serving on the following Boards and Committees:
Salt Lake Chamber of Commerce, Women in Business Advisory Board
Salt Lake County Mayor Corroon’s Advisory Board for Social Service Block Grants
Currently Chair of the Statewide Women’s Caucus
Member of the Woman’s Philanthropy Group
Clare holds an Associates Degree from Golden West College, Huntington Beach, CA.
She attended the University of California/Irvine and Strathclyde University, Glasgow Scotland, pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Psychology.
