Teacher Affected by Stroke Gets Surprised by the Dream Team

Angie Lee is the owner of INVICTA Vox vocal studio in Draper, Utah. She loves helping her students flourish and realize their dreams.

Tragically, in June 2021, Angie suffered a stroke from a blood clot which severely affected her balance, sight and, most devastatingly, her hearing. Angie thought she would never be able to sing again.

Over the last year, with plenty of hard work and a tenacious spirit, Angie has regained a lot of her abilities.

The Dream Team heard about Angie’s story and wanted to celebrate her incredible accomplishments. Not only has she persevered to overcome serious health complications, but she was able to return to what she loves—music and working with her students. Angie explains, “I think the most fulfilling job you could ever have is helping someone realize their dream.”

Angie has come a long way in her recovery, but she’s not exactly where she wants to be. “I am determined to make a full recovery,” she says, “and that I’ll come back better than ever!”

The Dream Team presented Angie with a spa certificate and $1,000 to help with studio expenses. Watch the video above to see the rest of her story.
