Why is advocacy important?

When we advocate, we help others understand the difference between credit unions and for-profit financial institutions. This protects our tax status, so we can continue to serve our members.

The credit union philosophy is people helping people. Mountain America’s not-for-profit, member-owned model ensures that earnings benefit our members through:

  • Fewer and lower fees
  • Lower loan interest rates
  • Competitive savings rates
  • Convenient branch locations
  • Innovative digital banking technology

MEMBER ADVOCACY

Mountain America is not only a credit union, it's part of the community. And giving to the community makes, to me, the heart.
