How mobile checking deposit works in 5 easy steps

If you can take a picture, you can deposit your check. It’s this easy:

  1. Open Mountain America’s mobile banking app.
  2. Select Deposit from the thumb menu.
  3. Choose your account and enter the check amount.
  4. Use quick capture to automatically take photos of the front and back of your endorsed check.
  5. Get confirmation of your deposit.

Mobile deposit FAQs

Why are my funds on hold?

In general, mobile deposit funds will be held for one to two business days (excluding weekends and federal holidays).

How do I know when my funds will be available?

In general, $225 will be made immediately available for accounts in good standing. Some accounts may qualify for a higher amount.

Payments and transfers

A variety of ways to transfer funds and make payments are included in our mobile app.

1. Mobile deposit cannot be used for money orders. Youth and teen accounts are eligible.
2. In order to help prevent fraud, part of the deposit may be held until funds clear. New accounts (less than 90 days old) will have $225 available and the rest will be held for two business days. Immediate funds available will not exceed $500.
3. Mobile check deposits cannot exceed $5,000. Account balance must not be negative. Other restrictions apply.
