What happens to my direct deposit and transactions now that my Mountain America account has closed?

It is very important for you to immediately update your employer and any other depositors with your new account information.

Mountain America and Sunward are working together to ensure direct deposits continue for a limited time after the transition. However, we strongly recommend updating your information as soon as you receive your new account details to avoid any delays in receiving your funds.

Your new routing number with Sunward is 307083911 and your account number should have arrived in the mail. If you have not received it by March 4, please immediately contact Sunward.

Can I still use my Mountain America cards and checks?

Your Mountain America credit and debit cards will no longer work as of March 1. Please use your new Sunward cards instead. If you have not received your new Sunward credit or debit cards, please immediately contact Sunward. Be sure to update your card details with merchants.

Please also stop using Mountain America checks and update any ACH or wire transactions to your new Sunward account.

Sunward sent temporary checks in your welcome packet that was mailed in February. This packet also included a coupon to order a free box of checks during the first 90 days of your Sunward membership.

Do I need to set up a new online banking account with Sunward?

If you were already enrolled in Mountain America Credit Union online banking, you will automatically be enrolled into Sunward online banking. You will be able to access your accounts in the Sunward online banking and mobile app starting March 2.

In most cases your username will remain the same—however, you will need to create a new password. This can be done the first time you access the Sunward online banking system.

If you currently use bill pay, you'll need to enter the payee details in the Sunward online banking system on or after March 3.
