Q: What options are available for multi-factor authentication on my business account?
Secure Your Business Account
To ensure the security of your account, we will now exclusively use authenticator apps or text messages to deliver authentication codes for various business account actions. Email delivery will no longer be available.
Read through the options below to register one of these methods for authenticating your account.
Option 1: Authenticator app (recommended)We recommend proven and safe authenticator apps such as Microsoft, Google, Authy and LastPass, but you are welcome to choose any option from your respective app store.
Authenticator apps provide an extra layer of security for online accounts beyond just a username and password. This method, known as multi-factor authentication, typically involves generating a temporary, one-time-use code on your device that you must enter in addition to your password.
Option 2: Text message- Log in to mobile or online banking.
- Click on Settings.
- Select Contact in the header bar.
- Scroll to the Phone Numbers section.
- Select the editing pencil next to the Mobile option.
- Enter in your phone number.
- Select “I would like to receive SMS text messages to this number.”
- Select Save Changes.
