Q: How do I split money with Zelle®?
To split money with others, tap Send Money with Zelle® in the Mountain America app.*
- Select Split.
- Find and add friends using the search bar: enter their first and last name, email, or U.S. mobile number. If you're with them in person, you can also add them by scanning their Zelle® QR code.
- Your friend will then be added to your suggested contacts list.
- Select the contacts you would like to split money with. You can choose as many as you would like. If your friend isn’t enrolled yet, you can only send a request using their email address.
- Next, enter the total, and let Zelle® do the math for you. Then select the account and tap Review.
- Add a note to describe the transaction, if preferred.
- Now, tap Split at the bottom of the screen.
*Zelle® availability based on account eligibility. Account must be in good standing for 90 days. U.S. checking or savings account required to use Zelle®. Transactions between enrolled consumers typically occur in minutes and do not incur transaction fees through the Mountain America mobile app. Payment requests to persons not already enrolled with Zelle® must be sent to an email address.
