Back to Help CenterQ: Can I use a check to pay a loan over the phone, and is there a charge?
Yes. Payments can be made with our check over the phone service, eCheck (ACH). This option is free.
Mountain America also offers several alternative payment options:
- External transfers—Within Online Banking, you can transfer funds from another financial institution to your Mountain America loan. Select Transfers & Payments and then External Transfers.
- In-branch payments—You can make a payment at your nearest Mountain America branch.
- Debit card—To make your loan payment over the phone, call 1-800-748-4302. If you choose to use your debit card to make a payment, there is a small fee.
- Paymaster—Use this option to create a recurring credit to your Mountain America loan or share, by debiting a different financial institution. This is a free service. Visit a branch or call 1-800-748-4302 to get started.
- Quick payments—Allows members to self-serve or request assistance to process loan payments from an external financial institution using a debit card ($3.95 fee) or bank account (free). It allows for single, recurring or future payments.
