30/15 balloon loan

With an annual percentage rate (APR) of 6.785% and a loan amount of $400,000, you would have a monthly payment of $2,627.72 for 179 months and a final balloon payment of $297,261.29 at the end of year 15. It’s common for borrowers to refinance the balloon portion of the loan.

15-year fixed loan

With an APR of 6.785% and a loan amount of $400,000, you would have 180 monthly payments of $3,567.42, and the loan would be paid in full. An escrow account may be required.
