The beloved Food Nanny, Lizi Heaps, is a food blogger, business owner and full-time mom. On this episode of Guiding You Forward, she gives us some insight as to how she finds the fire to balance it all while staying true to her brand.

Successfully running a business and a household is no easy task! Join us in the podcast studio as we talk entrepreneurship, helping other small businesses and keeping it all going with The Food Nanny.

In this video you will learn:

  • How Lizi is helping other small businesses.

  • Her best advice for having it all—and succeeding.

  • The origin of her motto—Keep cooking. Your family is worth it.

Not only is Lizi a successful entrepreneur (and smart as a whip!), she and her brand also stand as a champion for other small businesses. If she finds a product she truly loves, she is happy to shout it out to her followers—and they respond in droves! The result is a significant difference in the lives of several business owners. “The best way to grow organically is helping each other,” she says. Watch the full video to see why she is so passionate about this part of her business.

Lizi’s career path is no conventional nine-to-five job—there is no clock-out button. She chose this path, and she’s so glad she did, but it can be challenging to find a balance. “You’ve got to eat, sleep, breathe this thing,” she says, referring to her business. “It’s like having a baby.” Lizi offers her best advice to people considering starting their own business.

Once Lizi realized how difficult it was to be a successful entrepreneur—especially when you are raising a family too—she struggled to define her purpose. Then, one day, it became crystal clear. “More than ever, dinnertime is lost,” she explains. “It just came to me—Keep cooking. Your family is worth it.” Tune in to learn how Lizi brings this motto to life and shows her followers how they can too!
