Mountain America Partners with Ken Garff ‘Keys to Success Program’ to Award $10,000 in Scholarships to Utah Students
Students from across the state received the endowments and one received a new car; Keys to Success representatives and Sterling Nielsen awarded recipients
On Thursday, June 1, 2023, Mountain America Credit Union and the Keys to Success Foundation gifted $2,000 scholarships to four Utah high school students.
“Today’s event with the Keys to Success program is an exciting and inspiring showcase of Mountain America Credit Union's commitment to supporting education and the local community,” said Sterling Nielsen, president and chief executive officer of Mountain America Credit Union.
The Keys to Success program, a part of Ken Garff’s Keys to Success Foundation, helps students establish goal-setting habits, which provides the foundation for their future successes. It also provides individual recognition and a sense of accomplishment. Through this partnership, Mountain America and Ken Garff will provide $10,000 in scholarships in 2023.
“Education provides the pathway to future successes, and Mountain America Credit Union believes in investing in future generations,” Nielsen said.
Recipients from across the state received giant scholarship checks. The event also featured Kathi Garff, board chairwoman of Ken Garff Automotive Group, and Erin Trenbeath-Murray, executive director of the Robert H. and Katharine Garff Foundation.
In addition to scholarships, Keys to Success representatives pulled a winning number from a ball machine to surprise one of the recipients with a brand-new car.
