David Araque’s story is one of passion, perseverance and purpose. Like many immigrants to the United States, he was searching for success—the American dream.

 

For David, that meant learning the language and culture, and deciding how he wanted to contribute to his community. He opted to go into real estate, dreaming of how he could help people like himself.

 

A dream come true

Fast forward about 12 years, David has made St. George, Utah his home and base of operations. He loves what he does—the weight of which is not lost on him.

 

He understands that buying a home is the biggest purchase most people will make in their lifetime. For many of David’s clients, buying a home is challenging enough, let alone trying to do it without understanding or speaking the language.

 

Spreading the knowledge

David is thrilled to be a bridge for his clients. He’s passionate about showing them the path to the American dream of homeownership.

 

It’s not easy adapting to the financial rules and policies of a new country but, having been through it himself, David is able to share his experience and knowledge to help his clients succeed.

When we asked him what he liked most about banking with Mountain America, he said, “It’s the customer service.” He went on to say, “I had an experience with another bank where I needed a signature on a document. I had to go from one window to another and talk with multiple people. Then I had to call. It was very frustrating for me.”

 

David also loves that the employees in his branch take the time to help him understand financial processes like which accounts could be useful to him, how to earn the most interest on his money and how to budget better.
