Mountain America Launches "Hero for Warmth" Campaign to Provide 600 Coats to Utah Children

In Utah, more than 95,000 children live in poverty. Without access to basic necessities, including a coat, a child’s learning and social opportunities can be hindered. Operation Warm provides warmth, confidence, and hope to children in need through the gift of brand new winter coats. Studies have shown that a new coat can boost kids’ confidence and help them succeed academically.

For just $25, you can gift a new coat to a kid in need.

For the seventh season, Mountain America has partnered with the Utah Jazz to present “Pass it Along,” a program that has recognized more than 30 charitable organizations making a significant impact in the community since its inception in 2013. Mountain America is pleased to announce Operation Warm as this December’s “Pass it Along” recipient.” With more than 10 percent of Utah children living in poverty, available resources often do not keep up with demand. To help raise money for an additional 600 coats, Mountain America is launching a “Hero for Warmth” campaign and encouraging the community to come together to help support Operation Warm. For just $25, you can gift a new coat to a kid in need. Interested donors can support this cause by visiting operationwarm.org/macu.
