Mountain America's Little Free Libraries Go Virtual

The first five years of a child’s life are critical for development. A National Adult Literacy Survey found that children are three to four times more likely to drop out in later years if they have not developed basic literacy skills by the time they enter school.

Mountain America Credit Union, in partnership with Southwest Human Development and the Arizona Coyotes, recently opened six Little Free Libraries at its Arizona branches. In conjunction with the branch libraries, a Virtual Library has been launched to expand access, providing even more opportunities for early childhood literacy. To access the Virtual Library or make a donation to Southwest Human Development, please visit www.helpazkids.org.
