Farmington Couple Receives Joyful Gift

Jen Rader and her husband Matt were thrilled when they found out they would be adding another baby girl to their family.

At first, everything looked great with the baby, whom they named Josie. Genetic testing had shown a healthy fetus. Sadly, during an ultrasound appointment a few weeks later, the Raders received devastating news—their precious baby girl had an extremely rare genetic disorder known as Trisomy 9 Mosaicism.

This diagnosis meant Josie was missing some of her organs and had both heart and brain defects. Jen and Matt knew they would not be bringing Josie home, but decided to see the pregnancy through.

During Thanksgiving 2021, Jen woke up feeling like something was wrong. She and Matt rushed to the hospital where Josie’s heart eventually stopped beating.

Through the devastation and grief, Jen was able to find a new purpose. She created Josie’s Angels—crafting small, jeweled angels as a token of support for families who have lost a loved one.

Watch the video above to see how the Dream Team surprises Jen and her sweet family.
