Three-Year-Old with Rare Blood Disorder Gets Surprise Visit from St. Nick

The Dream Team flies in with Santa to surprise a family in need.

Three-year-old Presley hasn’t had what you would call a “normal” childhood. She usually isn’t allowed to play with other kids, jump on trampolines or even go on the playground because even the smallest of bruises could end up covering her entire body.

Presley suffers from idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura, or ITP, a rare blood disorder where her immune system destroys her healthy platelets. Her condition requires extensive and costly ongoing medical care—like weekly hospital visits, blood draws and medications.

With her family’s financial resources going toward her care, she and her siblings knew their Christmas wish lists would need to come second.

When what to their wondering eyes should appear, but the Dream Team bringing gifts and cheer! And they weren’t alone—their good friend St. Nick was there to help brighten the spirits of this tight-knit, loving family.
