The Dream Team Delivers a Meaningful Gift to Deputy Diagnosed With ALS
In the face of a terminal diagnosis, Deputy Hayden Liddiard, a young father of three, is not letting it define him. Surrounded by a strong support network of family and fellow deputies, he is committed to making what time he has left count by spending it with those he holds dear.
“There's no point for me to focus on the negative on what may or can happen. I would rather focus on what I can achieve now. Focus on my family, my girls,” said Hayden.
Inspired by Hayden’s deep love for his family, Kelly Chapman from FOX 13 teamed up with Mountain America Credit Union to deliver a Dream Team surprise at the Utah County Sheriff’s Office. They presented the Liddiard family with a basket packed with thoughtful items to help them cherish the precious time they have together.
“It’s been tough, an emotional roller coaster,” Hayden said. “But the support from everyone has been incredible, especially from the sheriff’s office. I love working with all of you and wouldn’t change a thing. You’ve always been a great support group, even before this. I knew I could count on you if I ever needed anything. Thank you for helping my girls and my wife.”
A fund has been established to support the Liddiard family as they prepare for upcoming medical expenses and other family costs. Click here to learn more.
