Mountain America Miracle Makers Give the Gift of Hearing
Abby Hudson is just a typical 15-year-old girl. But when she began complaining about having a hard time hearing the teachers at school, her mother, Kelli, began to worry. She took Abby to visit Dr. Arris-Martin at North Valley ENT. After checking her out, the doctor concluded that Abby would need hearing aids.
Since these devices weren’t covered by insurance, this left Kelli facing a $5,000 bill that would put a significant dent in her budget.
As Kelli was weighing her options, Abby’s hearing loss advanced and the issue became more pressing.
Enter the Mountain America Miracle Makers team. We caught up with Abby and Kelli at a recent checkup and surprised them both when we revealed that Mountain America had paid the $5,000 bill in full. Kelli, through grateful tears, explained how she is a teacher herself, and she knows just how important it is for her daughter to be able to hear her teachers.
