Mountain America Credit Union’s Trevor Gordon Named One of Utah’s Top Twenty in Their 20s
The award recognizes young professionals rising through the ranks and recreating the world in their image
On November 3, 2022, at the Grand America Hotel in downtown Salt Lake City, Utah, Trevor Gordon, Service Center Assistant Manager at Mountain America Credit Union was recognized as one of Utah’s top twenty business professionals in their 20s by Utah Business Magazine.
Utah Business Magazine’s Twenty in Their 20s award recognizes Utah’s twenty-somethings who are starting their own businesses, rising through the ranks of existing ones, and recreating the world in their own image.
“Trevor has been a valuable member of our team for more than a decade and is an up-and-coming talent who has made significant contributions at every step in his career,” said Sterling Nielsen, president and CEO of Mountain America Credit Union. “We recognize our success is the result of talented people, like Trevor, who exceed expectations and share their talents to benefit their colleagues and our members.”
Mountain America’s branches may be the face of the credit union, but its service center is the central nervous system—playing a vital role in keeping members informed and representing its mission, vision, and values. As one of the credit union’s Service Center Managers, Gordon is key to making the service center run efficiently.
One of his greatest strengths is his ability to relate to millennials and members of Generation Z. He mentors and leads his teams while exhibiting our MACU Way behaviors. These behaviors define our culture and have established Mountain America as one of the top companies to work for.
Since starting his career with Mountain America, Gordon has achieved several significant accomplishments, including leading five service center teams, pioneering and leading a new-hire focus group, and advocating for diversity and representation as an inaugural member of the credit union’s diversity and inclusion council.
“I started my professional career with Mountain America and am grateful for the opportunities they’ve given me to grow, learn and take on new responsibilities,” said Gordon. “I take great pride in contributing to our culture and helping us deliver on our mission of helping our members define and achieve their financial dreams.”
