Murray Greenhouse: A Learning Place for People with Disabilities
When you walk into the Murray Greenhouse, you immediately feel the love and care that goes into all the beautiful plants—that comes from the driving force behind the business.
The Murray Greenhouse was created years ago by parents of children with disabilities. They were searching for a safe environment where their children could continue learning after they age out of the Utah public school system at age 22. It’s really impossible to ignore the parallels between the nurturing needed to keep the kids learning and growing and what’s going on in the greenhouse—it couldn’t be a better partnership!
Thanks to a regular customer of the greenhouse who nominated them, the Dream Team decided to meet up with Sheila Wall and Diane Poulsen, board members of the Murray Greenhouse Foundation, and shower them with a few surprises.
Watch the video above to see how it all unfolds. And, if you still have planting to do, consider visiting the Murray Greenhouse—we promise you won’t have to pay as much as the Dream Team did!
Mountain America is proud to partner with Fox 13 News to make dreams come true for members of our community! You can nominate a deserving person or family for a visit from the Dream Team by filling out the form here.
