Miracle Makers Have a Surprise for a Special Mom
You could say there’s nothing more powerful than a mother’s love and it’s doubtful that anyone would argue with you. Kendra Lopez takes that sentiment straight to heart—she’s a mom that will go above and beyond to make sure her children have everything they need.
Kendra has three amazing daughters—Monica, Sophia and LeAnna. Monica plays on a competitive travel softball team, Sophia is a Fortnite master and then there’s beautiful LeAnna, who was born with health complications. Needless to say, there’s a lot happening at the Lopez home! Thankfully, they have Kendra—she will do whatever she has to do to ensure her girls will never have to go without.
After LeAnna was born, Kendra had difficulty finding support. Wanting to offer families the kind of support and resources she had been searching for, she started a Facebook Page called Sunshines Support of Northern AZ and joined the board of Go Baby Go, an NAU program that adapts kids’ toy vehicles for children with mobility issues. On top of all of that, she also prepares and sells her homemade enchiladas for Monica’s softball team and is trying to learn more about Fortnite and the gaming world to keep up with Sophia.
Ashley Peak, a pediatric nurse who met Kendra during one of LeAnna’s visits, saw how hard this mom was working for her girls and nominated her for a visit from the Miracle Makers. Mountain America Credit Union and 12News came together with Basha’s and The Mint Dispensary to award Kendra with a some special gifts. Check out the full video to see Kendra’s reaction!
